The Flyer is good, but the Perception is the best dispay board I've seen. And
I have seen many. Media 100, Avid 8000, Avid 1000, VideoVision SStudio,
Telecast, The Cube, Fast Video Machine, Flyer. I have worked with, and used
all of these. Anytime you import and export your video signal in component,
CAV, your video will be much cleaner.
The Flyer works somewhat like the PAR when it comes to gradient color
spreads. In short, IT CREATERS! My evaluation is based on O-scope and
Vector/Waveform displays. Not, oh yeah, that looks better. The Flyer is an
offline/Industrial editor, with an interface that a drunk, one armed monkey
could use. It's great for what it was intended for. But the HIGH END will
demand component video, and if you want to work for them you'll need to
provide it.
